Wireless frost-alert system
Onset of Bourne, Mass., has released a wireless frost alert system that can send a text message and audible and visual alarm notifications to your cell phone when frost conditions set in.
It also can be set up to send an e-mail warning to your computer, according to a news release.
The system can be installed anywhere in a field and solar-charged batteries eliminate the need for batteries or other electrical source.
Options include wireless soil moisture and additional temperature sensors.
The unit sells for $389, according to the release.
